Product Description
Product Overview

In automatic mode, when detectors detect a fire, they send signals to the control panel. The control panel then activates the alarm flashing device, starts exhaust fans, cuts off non-essential power, and recalls elevators. If someone sees the fire, they can press the manual call point to initiate the same process. For gas protection areas, two detectors need to be activated simultaneously before the timer starts. After the delay, the gas will be released, and the release indicator lights will illuminate to warn people not to enter. All these steps work tog to ensure rapid detection and safe evacuation.

System Architecture
Detection layer diagram showing smoke, heat, and combined fire detectors
1. Detection Layer (Sensors)

The detection layer is the perception system of the fire alarm system. It includes smoke detectors, heat detectors, and mixed smoke-and-heat detectors. Smoke detectors sense the air changes caused by a fire and are suitable for offices and hotels. Heat detectors monitor temperature rises and are suitable for kitchens and garages. Combined detectors use both signals simultaneously to reduce false alarms, making them ideal for hospitals and high-end buildings. For large spaces like warehouses or stadiums, beam-type smoke detectors are used. For high-risk areas like oil depots, flame detectors are recommended.

2. Input Layer (Manual and Monitoring Equipment)

This layer handles human operation and external equipment monitoring. It includes manual call points, input modules, short-circuit isolators, and fire phone sockets. Manual call points are installed near exits and staircases to enable people to manually trigger the alarm. The input module receives signals from external devices such as water flow switches or pressure switches. The short-circuit isolator protects the system by disconnecting the faulty part of the circuit. The fire phone socket enables firefighters to communicate with the control center in emergencies.

3. Control Layer (The "Brain" of the System)

The control layer is the "brain" of the entire system. Its main components are the fire alarm control panel and the gas fire suppression control panel. The fire alarm control panel receives signals from all detectors and modules and decides when to issue an alarm and activate other devices. The gas fire suppression control panel is specifically designed for FM200, IG541, or CO2 systems. It features delayed start-up, manual/automatic mode switching, and pressure feedback monitoring. Other control devices include repeater panels for displaying alarms on different floors and fire broadcast hosts for playing evacuation instructions.

4. Execution Layer (Alarm and Action Equipment)

The execution layer is responsible for executing the instructions from the control panel. It includes alarm indicator lights, output modules, fire alarm bells, and gas release indicators. The alarm indicator lights emit loud sounds and flashing lights to alert people to evacuate. The output module controls other devices such as exhaust fans, fire dampers, power cut-off devices, or elevator recall devices. The fire alarm bell is a low-cost option for traditional systems. The gas release indicator is installed at the entrance of the protected area. When gas is about to be released or has been released, it lights up to warn people not to enter.
