Product Description

Cabinet heptafluoropropane gas fire extinguishing device

Product Introduction:
  The extinguishing agent used in this system is HFC-227ea (HFC-227ea/FM200), a clean gas fire extinguishing agent with both chemical and physical extinguishing properties. It is colorless, odorless, low-toxic, non-conductive, and non-contaminating. It does not damage property or delicate equipment. It can reliably extinguish Class B and C fires, as well as electrical fires, at a low extinguishing concentration. This device features two types of fire detectors: a temperature-sensitive glass bulb and a fire detection tube. This eliminates the need for a traditional fire detection system consisting of smoke, temperature, and fire controllers. Our products offer enhanced detection and extinguishing capabilities, are more adaptable to cabinet installation, save space, and do not impact cabinet components.
Working Principle:
The cabinet HFC-227ea gas fire extinguishing system features two temperature-sensing activation methods: a thermo-sensitive glass bulb and a fire detector tube. When the ambient temperature in the protected area reaches the set burst temperature of the thermo-sensitive glass bulb (68°C, optional upon request), the bulb bursts, instantly opening the fire extinguishing medium release pipe. The gas fire extinguishing agent stored in the device is immediately ejected from the nozzle, cooling the protected area and extinguishing the fire. Another activation method uses the fire detector tube as a fire detector. When the fire detector tube senses a fire source signal (160°C ± 10°C), the gas inside the fire detector tube expands rapidly, eventually bursting a nozzle at the highest temperature point in the pipe. This triggers the fire extinguishing agent storage device, which is then released through the fire detector tube and out of the bursting nozzle, achieving cooling and extinguishing the fire.

Installation and Maintenance
1. Cabinet Heptafluoropropane Gas Fire Extinguishing Device Installation
  The installation of the cabinet heptafluoropropane gas fire extinguishing device is as shown in the figure above. Install the cabinet heptafluoropropane gas fire extinguishing device in a drawer-style arrangement into the cabinet and secure it securely. The thermal release assembly and fire detector tubes of the cabinet heptafluoropropane gas fire extinguishing device are also arranged as shown above. The thermal release assembly is secured to the cabinet using the corresponding accessories. The fire detector tubes should be arranged in an S-shaped pattern, preferably in areas prone to fire, and secured with cable ties.
2. Personnel performing installation, commissioning, and operation should be familiar with the basic structure, operating principle, performance, and operating procedures of the device, as well as the structure and operating conditions of each valve component.
3. The device should be installed away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure that the device is not subject to vibration and impact. The device should be secured within a protected area using brackets.
4. After clearly understanding the above two points, proceed with the specific installation work:
4.1 Installing the Heptafluoropropane Gas Fire Extinguishing System in the Cabinet:
4.1.1 Selecting a Location for the Heptafluoropropane Gas Fire Extinguishing System in the Cabinet: Select a suitable U-shaped space in the upper area of the cabinet. The location should be convenient for daily inspection and installation, avoiding areas with heavy wiring.
4.1.2 Use the cabinet's built-in rails or tray to secure the system. Secure the system with screws through the two screw holes on the front panel. Once secured, the system is installed.
4.2 Components and Installation:
4.2.1 The system interfaces include: copper pipe interface, switch, pressure gauge, signal feedback device, fire detector tube, temperature-sensing glass bulb, and fire extinguisher release nozzle. The fire extinguisher release nozzle is located on the front panel, and the other interfaces are located on the back panel. 4.2.2 Installation of the Temperature-Sensing Glass Bulb and Fire Detector Tube:
4.2.2.1 Installation of the Temperature-Sensing Glass Bulb: The temperature-sensing glass bulb is already fixed to the device and does not require installation.
4.2.2.2 Installation of the Fire Detector Start Pipe: Remove the plug from the air throttle, insert the fire detector tube into the pin-shaped connector, and tighten the copper cap until secure. Observe the cabinet space and select an appropriate piping layout. The piping layout principles should first ensure maximum cabinet coverage, then route the fire detector tube through the most fire-prone areas, and finally, aesthetics. The fire detector tube ends in a standard plug. First, insert the internally threaded plug into the fire detector tube. Then, firmly insert the other plug into the fire detector tube. Connect the two pieces and tighten.
4.3 Signal Feedback Device Interface: Connect the signal feedback device to the system according to the marking requirements.
5. Maintenance and Management of Cabinet Heptafluoropropane Gas Fire Extinguishing Devices
A dedicated maintenance manager should be assigned to manage the maintenance of cabinet heptafluoropropane gas fire extinguishing devices. Maintenance records should be kept. The manager should be familiar with the device's operating principles and performance.
a. Inspections should be conducted twice weekly and meet the following requirements:
a1. The pressure reading on the cabinet heptafluoropropane gas fire extinguishing device should be within the green zone;
a2. The switch on the container valve should be in the "on" position;
a3. The device should show no abnormalities.
b. The device components should also be inspected quarterly and meet the following requirements:
b1. Device components should be free of mechanical damage, surface rust, coating protection should be intact, and nameplate markings should be legible;
b2. The fire extinguishing agent container, fire detection hose, release hose, nozzle, etc. should be secure and reliably connected. c. Conduct a comprehensive annual inspection and maintenance of the cabinet gas fire extinguishing system. In addition to meeting the requirements in a and b, the following requirements must also be met:
c1. Check the fire extinguishing capacity of the device's container by weight. The requirement is: Fire extinguishing capacity ≥ (container volume x 1.15 g/L) x 90%. If the requirement is not met, refill the fire extinguishing agent.
c2. Observe the pressure gauge to check for leaks in the cabinet's HFC-227ea gas fire extinguishing system. If the pressure gauge is outside the green zone, check the fire extinguishing capacity by weight. If the fire extinguishing capacity leaks ≥ 10%, consider replenishing the fire extinguishing agent and restoring the pressure.
c3. The fire detection tube must be free of deformation, corrosion, damage, or aging.
c4. Maintenance and management of the fire extinguishing agent container must be carried out in accordance with the "Safety Supervision Regulations for Gas Cylinders."
6. Unauthorized personnel are prohibited from touching or tampering with the components of this fire extinguishing system to avoid accidents.
