Product Description
Product Overview

The temperature-sensing self-starting fire extinguishing device is an advanced fixed, non-electric fire suppression system newly developed in recent years. It requires no power source and no traditional fire detection or alarm equipment. The entire system consists solely of a fire extinguishing agent storage cylinder and a flexible fire detection tube.

The fire detection tube integrates three functions: fire detection, device activation, and fire extinguishing agent release. It can be conveniently installed at the closest possible location to every potential fire source. When a fire occurs, the tube is heated and ruptures, immediately releasing the extinguishing agent for precise, point-to-point fire suppression.

Performance Characteristics
  • The fire extinguishing agent delivery tube performs fire detection, device activation, and agent release — eliminating the need for separate fire alarm and detection devices. This reduces costs and installation complexity while greatly improving system reliability and avoiding false activations of electrical control components.
  • The device provides full-coverage suppression only for equipment that has actually caught fire, extinguishing it in a point-to-point manner. This contrasts with traditional gas suppression systems that flood an entire equipment space regardless of fire size, resulting in slow detection response and excessive agent use.
  • The fire detection tube can be routed inside equipment and instruments that may catch fire, enabling the fastest possible detection and point-to-point suppression of only the burning areas — delivering faster response, more efficient suppression, lower costs, and greater environmental friendliness.

Based on these three characteristics, the temperature-sensing self-starting fire extinguishing device represents a more scientific approach among current fixed fire suppression systems — particularly solid gas suppression devices — in terms of improving suppression efficiency, saving costs, and protecting the environment.

System Application Scope

The temperature-sensing automatic fire extinguishing device solves the long-standing fire protection industry challenge of preventing fires in spaces housing electrical equipment, control boxes, and distribution boards. It has been widely applied in domestic systems including power plants, communications, broadcasting, petrochemicals, and railways, accumulating extensive successful experience.

1. Suitable Fire Locations
  • Microwave rooms, decimeter wave rooms, meter wave rooms, power distribution rooms, and uninterruptible power supply rooms in broadcasting and television facilities.
  • Control rooms and signaling transfer point rooms in communication systems.
  • Control rooms, electronic equipment rooms, computer rooms, relay rooms, and power distribution rooms in power plants.
  • Cable intersections, dense cable areas, and intermediate joints.
  • Distribution cabinets, elevator control cabinets, and cable trays with troughs or bridges.
  • Other special or important cabinets and equipment with relatively enclosed enclosures.
2. Applicable Fire Types

2.1 The fire detection tube with carbon dioxide filling can be used to extinguish the following fires:

  • Fires where the gas source can be cut off before extinguishing.
  • Fires involving Class A, B, and C liquids or molten solids such as wax and asphalt.
  • Partial solid surface fires and deep-position fires of cotton, wool, paper, and similar materials.
  • Electrical fires.

2.2 The fire detection tube with carbon dioxide filling cannot be used to extinguish the following fires:

  • Fires of nitrocellulose, gunpowder, and similar materials containing oxidants.
  • Fires of active metals such as potassium, sodium, magnesium, titanium, and zirconium.
  • Fires of metal hydrides such as hydrogen potassium and hydrogen sodium.

Device Characteristics
  • Integrated alarm and fire suppression with quick detection response and point-to-point suppression, rapidly extinguishing fire hazards in the initial stage and effectively reducing economic losses caused by fires.
  • No power source required; operation is unaffected by vibration or impact. The fire detection function is not weakened and does not cause false alarms due to oil, dust, or smoke.
  • The flexible fire probe tube is unaffected by position and can be inserted into various narrow and complex flammable spaces or equipment, compensating for the inability of existing fire-fighting products to extinguish such fire sources.
  • Replaces traditional full-coverage suppression in large spaces with local full-coverage or local suppression at potential ignition points. It is positioned closest to the protected object, achieving high suppression efficiency at low cost.
  • Fire extinguishing agent consumption is reduced by more than 80% compared to traditional methods, making it more environmentally friendly and safer for personnel.
  • Ideally suited for equipment and locations requiring key protection but remaining unmanned.
  • Since no power supply is used, operation is unaffected by electromagnetic interference, humidity, heat, or dust — providing safer and more reliable protection for various electrical equipment.
  • Simple design and convenient installation; it does not occupy limited user space and requires no additional gas cylinder room.
