Product Description

High-Pressure IG541 Mixed Gas Fire Cylinder 15MPa Seamless Steel for Data Center

Product Overview

The IG541 mixed gas fire suppression cylinder is the core storage container for data center gas fire protection systems, specifically designed for filling IG541 agent (52% nitrogen + 40% argon + 8% carbon dioxide). The cylinder features a high-strength seamless steel body with 15MPa working pressure, manufactured through precision heat treatment and hydrostatic testing. It is equipped with a container valve, safety relief device, and pressure gauge, ensuring reliable and safe long-term high-pressure storage.

Why Choose IG541 Cylinders for Data Centers?

Data centers house large quantities of sensitive electronic equipment. In the event of a fire, traditional water sprinkler or dry powder agents can cause irreversible equipment damage. IG541 agent is a blend of natural atmospheric gases that leaves no residue, is non-conductive, and non-corrosive after discharge. It produces no chemical decomposition by-products during fire extinguishing, making it the ideal choice for data center gas fire protection.

Core Advantages

  • 15MPa Standard Working Pressure: Nominal working pressure of 15MPa, maximum working pressure of 17.2MPa (at 20℃), minimum working pressure of 13.6MPa (at 20℃). Mature and stable pressure rating with strong engineering compatibility.

  • Seamless Steel Cylinder Body: Manufactured from high-strength seamless steel pipe, subjected to hydrostatic pressure testing and leak testing. Equipped with a safety diaphragm (burst pressure 23MPa±1.15MPa) to prevent abnormal over-pressurization.

  • Dual Activation Modes: The container valve integrates both pneumatic and manual activation. In emergencies, remove the safety pin and press the manual button to directly open the valve.

  • Constant 6MPa Low-Pressure Discharge: Works with pressure reducing devices to achieve constant 6MPa discharge pressure, reducing piping costs. Transmission distance up to 200 meters with flexible cylinder room placement.

  • Refillable and Reusable: No cylinder body replacement required after system discharge. Inspect and reset the valve, then refill for quick return to service with economical maintenance costs.

  • Clean and Environmentally Friendly: IG541 agent has ODP=0 and GWP=0. It is colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and suitable for occupied spaces.

Applications

  • Data Centers & Server Rooms: Protects critical IT equipment with zero residue and no hardware damage.

  • Telecommunication Hubs & Base Stations: Suitable for occupied spaces with flexible piping connections.

  • Electrical Switchgear & Distribution Rooms: IG541 is non-conductive with no impact on electrical insulation.

  • Archives & Libraries: No corrosion or contamination to paper documents.

  • Industrial Facilities: Power plants, chemical plants, and other high-risk areas.

  • Cable Tunnels & Utility Corridors: Long-distance linear space protection.

Product Operate Guide

Cylinders should be installed upright and secured on dedicated racks with at least 1 meter clearance on the operating side. Weekly inspections should check pressure gauge readings. During system activation, the fire alarm control panel outputs a DC24V signal, the solenoid actuator opens the pilot gas cylinder, and nitrogen pushes the pneumatic actuator to puncture the container valve diaphragm, releasing agent. In emergencies, remove the manual safety pin and press the manual button to directly open the valve. After discharge, refill the cylinders and reset related components.

FAQ

Q1: Can IG541 cylinders be filled with other agents?
A: IG541 cylinders are specifically designed for IG541 mixed gas at 15MPa working pressure. Filling with other agent types is not recommended. Selection must follow system design requirements.

Q2: How often do cylinders require inspection?
A: Cylinders require periodic inspection every 5 years per seamless steel cylinder standards, including hydrostatic pressure testing, leak testing, and cylinder body appearance checks.

Q3: Do cylinders need replacement after system discharge?
A: No cylinder body replacement is required. Simply inspect and reset the container valve, then refill the agent for quick return to service.

Q4: What are the storage environment requirements for cylinders?
A: Cylinders should be stored in a dry, ventilated environment at 0℃~50℃, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and corrosive substances.

Q5: Is IG541 agent safe for humans?
A: IG541 is a blend of natural atmospheric gases – non-toxic, harmless, and non-conductive. It is suitable for occupied spaces with no residue after discharge.
