Cabinet Automatic Fire Suppression Unit (HFC-227ea / FM200)
Product Introduction:
This cabinet automatic fire suppression unit is an innovative solution independently developed for protecting critical enclosures such as server racks, electrical cabinets, and telecom cabinets. It is a self-contained, pre-engineered system that integrates the extinguishing agent cylinder, delivery piping, nozzle, pressure gauge, fire detector, and signal feedback device into a compact unit. A single unit can protect one or multiple cabinets, depending on the configuration.
The system uses HFC-227ea (also known as FM200), a clean, colorless, and odorless gaseous agent. It is non-conductive, low in toxicity, and leaves no residue, making it safe for sensitive electronic equipment. FM200 extinguishes fires primarily through chemical inhibition, supplemented by physical cooling, and is highly effective against Class B (flammable liquids), Class C (gases), and electrical fires at low design concentrations.
Two types of integrated fire detectors are available: a thermo-sensitive glass bulb (standard activation at 68°C, customizable) and a flexible fire detection tube (activation at 160°C ± 10°C). These integrated detectors eliminate the need for external smoke or heat detectors and a separate fire alarm panel, simplifying system design and reducing installation costs.

Working Principle:
When the ambient temperature inside the protected enclosure reaches the rated temperature of the thermo-sensitive glass bulb (e.g., 68°C), the bulb ruptures, immediately opening the discharge valve. The pressurized FM200 agent is then released through the nozzle, rapidly suppressing the fire.
Alternatively, when using the fire detection tube, exposure to a fire source (160°C ± 10°C) causes the tube to burst at the point of highest temperature. This pressure drop activates the cylinder valve, and the extinguishing agent is discharged through the burst opening in the detection tube, directly targeting the fire source.
