1 Device introduction
The device of server-rack fire suppression unit is an innovative automatic fire suppression product independently developed by our company. It is an automatic fire suppression device specially developed for the equipment cabinets. The server-rack fire suppression unit is also known as temperature sensing detection and fire extinguishing integrated machine or prefabricated fire extinguishing device. It is a fire extinguishing device which pre-assemble the fire extinguishing agent storage device, transmission pipeline, nozzle, shell, pressure indicator, fire detector, signal feedback device, etc. into an independent fire extinguishing unit. Server-rack fire suppression unit is suitable for all kinds of unit independent equipment cabinets, one set of fire extinguishing device can protect one or more equipment cabinets.
The fire extinguishing agent used in this device can be HFC-227EA(also called FM200)/FK-5-1-12(also called Novec1230). Both FM200 and Novec1230 are clean gas fire extinguishing agent mainly for chemical fire extinguishing and also for physical fire extinguishing. It is colorless, tasteless, low toxic, non-conductive, non-polluting protected objects, will not cause damage to property and precision facilities, with a lower fire concentration, reliable extinguishing class B, C fire and electrical fire. There are two kinds of fire detectors in this device, one is a temperature sensing glass ball, the other is a fire detecting tube. It does not need the traditional fire detection system composed of smoke, temperature and fire controller to realize fire detection. Our products can better play the function of detection and fire extinguishing, and can better adapt to the installation of the equipment cabinet, can save more space, no impact on the components of the equipment cabinet.

2 Application of server-rack fire suppression system
2.1 IT and computer system server cabinet;

3 Working principle
The server-rack fire suppression unit has two starting modes of temperature sensing: temperature sensing glass ball and fire detecting tube. When the ambient temperature of the protective area reaches the temperature set by the temperature-sensitive glass ball (68℃, which also can be selected according to customer requirements), the temperature-sensitive glass ball burst immediately, open the fire media release pipe instantly, the gas extinguishing agent stored in the device is immediately ejected from the nozzle to cool the protected area and extinguish the fire. Another starting mode is using the fire detecting tube as a fire detector. When the fire detecting tube senses the fire signal of origin (160℃±10℃), the gas in the fire detecting tube will expand rapidly. Finally, a nozzle will be blasted out at the highest temperature of the tube, and then the storage device of fire extinguishing agent will be opened. The fire detecting tube will be sprayed from the blasting port to realize cooling and extinguishing.

6 Installation and maintenance management
6.1 Installation of FM200 server-rack fire suppression unit
Such as above mimic diagrams, there are the installation methods of FM200 server-rack fire suppression unit. Install the FM200 fire extinguishing device into the cabinet in the form of a drawer and fix it. The installation arrangement of temperature sensing release assembly and fire detecting tubes are as above mimic diagrams. Temperature sensing release assembly can be fixed on sever rack by relevant accessories; the arrangement of fire detecting tubes are used “S” type and fixed by ties, which according to the principle of arranging in the fire prone place as far as possible.
6.2 The installation and debugging personnel should be familiar with the basic structure, working principle, performance and action program of the device, as well as the structure and working state of the valve parts.
6.3 When installing the device, avoid direct sunlight and stay away from heat source; Ensure that the device is not impacted by vibration; The device is fixed in the protection area through the bracket.
6.4 After clearly knowing the above two points for attention, it can be carried out specific installation operations:
6.4.1 Installation of main engine of FM200 server-rack fire suppression unit:
6.4.1.1 Selection of installation location of FM200 server-rack fire suppression unit: select a U-shaped space suitable for installation in the upper area inside server rack. The selection of area should be based on the principle of convenient daily inspection and installation of fire extinguishing device, and avoid areas with numerous wiring harnesses as far as possible;
6.4.1.2 Use the guide rail or tray of the cabinet to fix the device, and fix the two screw holes on the front panel of the device with screws. After the completion of the fixing, the main engine is installed.
6.4.2 Assembly and its installation:
6.4.2.1 There are some parts of interface of device: interface of copper pipe, switch, pressure gauge, pressure switch, fire detecting tube, temperature sensing glass ball and nozzle. The nozzle is set in the front of the pannel of our units, other interfaces are set in the behind.
6.4.2.2 Installation of temperature sensing glass ball and fire detecting tube:
6.4.2.2.1 Installation of temperature sensing glass ball: temperature sensing glass balls have been fixed on the devices, there are no need to be installed.
6.4.2.2.2 Installation of fire detecting tube: Unscrew the plug of the throttle, insert the fire detecting tube into the needle joint, and screw the copper cap until firm. Observe the space of the cabinet and choose the appropriate way of pipe arrangement. The principle of pipe arrangement is to make the fire detecting tube cover the server rack to the maximum extent. Secondly, the fire detecting tube should pass through the area where the fire is most likely to occur. And finally thinking about aesthetics of whole installation of device. The end of the fire detecting tube is a standard plug. First, insert the plug with hole with internal thread into the fire detecting tube, then insert the other plug tightly into the fire detecting tube. The two pieces are butted together and then tightened.
6.4.3 Interface of pressure switch: The pressure switch is connected to the system according to the marking requirements.
6.5 Maintenance management of server-rack fire suppression unit
Specialized maintenance management personnel shall be arranged to maintain and manage the server-rack fire suppression unit, and the maintenance and management shall have records; Maintenance management personnel are required to be familiar with the working principle and performance of the device.
6.5.1 Check twice a week and meet the following conditions:
6.5.1.1 The pressure indicated value of the FM200 server-rack fire suppression unit shall be within the range of the green part;
6.5.1.2 The switch of the container valve shall be in the "open" position;
6.5.1.3 There should be no abnormality in the device.
6.5.2 Plant components shall also be inspected quarterly to meet the following requirements:
6.5.2.1 Parts of device should be free from mechanical damage and surface corrosion, coating protection is intact, the nameplate marks should be clear;
6.5.2.2 Extinguishing agent containers, fire detecting tubes, release tubes and nozzles should be firmly and reliably connected.
6.5.3 The server-rack fire suppression unit shall be comprehensively inspected and maintained every year, which shall not only meet the requirements of 6.5.1 and 6.5.2, but also meet the following requirements:
6.5.3.1 Weighing method is used to check the extinguishing dose of the device container. Requirements: extinguishing dose≥(container volume×1.15g/L)×90%; Refill the fire extinguishing agent if the requirement is not met.
6.5.3.2 Observe the value of the pressure gauge and check whether the pressure of the server-rack fire suppression unit is leaking. When the pressure gauge is not within the range of the green part, the weighing method shall be used to check the fire extinguishing dose. When the leakage of fire extinguishing dose is more than 10%, the fire extinguishing agent shall be considered to refill and the pressure shall be supplemented.
6.5.3.3 No deformation, corrosion, damage and aging of fire detecting tube.
6.5.3.4 The maintenance and management of fire extinguishing agent containers shall be carried out in accordance with the Safety Supervision Regulations for Gas Cylinder.
