Cabinet Automatic Fire Suppression Unit (HFC-227ea / FM200)
Product Introduction
The extinguishing agent used in this system is HFC-227ea (also known as FM200), a clean gaseous fire suppressant that combines both chemical and physical extinguishing mechanisms. It is colorless, odorless, low in toxicity, non-conductive, and leaves no residue, making it safe for sensitive electronic equipment and valuable assets. It effectively extinguishes Class B (flammable liquids), Class C (gaseous fires), and electrical fires at relatively low design concentrations.
This unit incorporates two types of integrated fire detectors: a temperature-sensitive glass bulb and a flexible fire detection tube. This design eliminates the need for external smoke detectors, heat detectors, or a separate fire control panel, significantly simplifying system architecture and reducing installation costs. Our solution offers superior detection accuracy, greater adaptability to cabinet installation, efficient space utilization, and no interference with existing cabinet components.
Working Principle
The cabinet automatic fire suppression system features two independent temperature-sensing activation methods:
1. Thermo-sensitive Glass Bulb Activation – When the ambient temperature inside the protected enclosure reaches the rated burst temperature of the glass bulb (standard 68°C, customizable upon request), the bulb ruptures, instantly opening the discharge valve. The pressurized FM200 agent is immediately released through the nozzle, rapidly cooling the protected area and suppressing the fire.
2. Fire Detection Tube Activation – The flexible detection tube serves as both a fire sensor and a discharge line. When the tube is exposed to a fire source (activation temperature: 160°C ± 10°C), the internal gas expands rapidly, causing the tube to burst at the point of highest temperature. This pressure drop triggers the cylinder valve, and the extinguishing agent is discharged directly through the burst opening, delivering targeted suppression exactly where needed.

Installation Guidelines![]()
1. Mounting the Unit
The cabinet fire suppression unit is designed for drawer-style installation inside standard cabinets. Secure the unit using the cabinet's built-in rails or support tray, and fasten it with screws through the two mounting holes on the front panel.
2. Thermal Release Assembly & Detection Tube Routing
The thermal release assembly should be fixed to the cabinet using the provided accessories. The fire detection tube should be routed in an S-shaped pattern, prioritizing coverage of areas most susceptible to fire hazards, and secured with cable ties.
3. Pre-Installation Precautions
Installation, commissioning, and maintenance personnel must be thoroughly familiar with the unit's structure, operating principles, performance specifications, and valve component functions.
The unit must be installed away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Ensure the unit is protected from vibration and mechanical impact.
Secure the unit firmly within the protected area using appropriate brackets.
4. Component Connections
Interfaces: The unit features a copper pipe interface, on/off switch, pressure gauge, signal feedback device, detection tube port, glass bulb assembly, and discharge nozzle (front panel).
Detection Tube Installation: Remove the plug from the throttle port, insert the detection tube into the pin-type connector, and tighten the copper cap securely. Route the tube as described above. The tube end is terminated with a standard plug.
Signal Feedback: Connect the signal feedback device to the monitoring system according to the terminal markings.
Maintenance & Inspection Schedule
A designated maintenance supervisor should be assigned to oversee regular inspections, with all activities properly documented.
a. Bi-Weekly Inspections (Twice per Week):
Verify the pressure gauge reading is within the green (normal) range.
Confirm the container valve switch is in the "ON" position.
Check for any visible abnormalities or damage.
b. Quarterly Inspections:
Ensure all components are free from mechanical damage, corrosion, and coating deterioration.
Verify nameplate labels remain legible.
Confirm the agent container, detection tube, discharge hose, and nozzle are securely fastened and properly connected.
c. Annual Comprehensive Inspection:
Perform a weight check of the agent cylinder to verify content volume. Acceptable range: ≥ (cylinder volume × 1.15 g/L) × 90%. Refill if below this threshold.
If the pressure gauge falls outside the green zone, conduct a weight check. If agent loss exceeds 10%, replenish the agent and repressurize the system.
Inspect the detection tube for deformation, corrosion, physical damage, or signs of aging.
Cylinder maintenance must comply with applicable local regulations for pressure vessels (e.g., "Safety Supervision Regulations for Gas Cylinders").
Safety Notice: Unauthorized personnel must not touch or adjust any components of this fire suppression system to prevent accidental activation.

To ensure your order arrives in perfect condition, we implement a rigorous packaging protocol:
Inner Packaging:
Each cabinet fire suppression unit is individually wrapped in anti-static protective film to prevent dust ingress and surface scratches. All sensitive components, including the pressure gauge and detection tube, are secured with additional cushioning material to prevent movement during transit.
Outer Packaging:
The unit is placed inside a custom-designed, heavy-duty carton with high-density foam inserts that conform to the product shape, providing exceptional shock absorption and vibration resistance.
Crating (Wooden Box):
For international shipments, all units are reinforced with export-grade wooden crates constructed from kiln-dried, heat-treated timber compliant with ISPM 15 standards. The crate features:
Internal foam padding for additional impact protection
Secure strapping and steel-reinforced corners for structural integrity
Clear handling labels ("Fragile," "This Side Up," "Keep Dry") for proper logistics handling
Shipping Advantages:
Standard lead time: 15–30 days depending on order quantity
Flexible shipping options: sea freight, air freight, or courier (DHL, FedEx, UPS)
Full container load (FCL) and less than container load (LCL) both supported
Professional export documentation provided: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and certificate of origin
Our robust packaging ensures your equipment reaches its destination safely, whether shipping to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, or other global markets.
