The IG55 20MPa piping network is the core delivery channel for the inert gas fire suppression system, specifically designed for IG55 mixed gas (50% nitrogen + 50% argon) at 20MPa working pressure. It safely and efficiently transports the extinguishing agent from the cylinder assembly to each nozzle within the protected area, making it widely used in commercial facilities such as data centers, telecommunication rooms, electrical switchgear rooms, and industrial facilities for gas fire protection projects.![]()
IG55 is a blend of nitrogen and argon in equal proportions, classified as a naturally occurring inert gas. It is colorless, odorless, non-toxic, non-conductive, and produces no chemical decomposition by-products. The fire extinguishing principle of IG55 is to reduce the oxygen concentration in the protected area to below 15%, achieving smothering fire suppression. It has zero ozone depletion potential and zero global warming potential. The IG55 20MPa piping network serves as the agent delivery system, consisting of seamless steel pipes, manifolds, selector valves, check valves, flexible hoses, and piping accessories. The system ensures that the extinguishing agent is delivered accurately to each protected zone within the required time frame, with a transmission distance of up to 200 meters.

When a fire occurs in the protected zone, the fire detector sends a signal to the alarm control panel, which activates audible and visual alarms and closes ventilation and air conditioning equipment. After a 30-second time delay, the controller outputs a DC24V activation signal, energizing the solenoid actuator to open the pilot gas cylinder, releasing nitrogen. The nitrogen passes through the pilot line to activate the pneumatic actuator, puncturing the container valve diaphragm and opening the container valve. The agent flows through the flexible hose into the manifold, is directed by the selector valve to the corresponding protected zone piping network, and is finally discharged from the nozzles to extinguish the fire.
The system is equipped with three independent activation modes – automatic, electrical manual, and mechanical emergency – ensuring reliable operation under all conditions.
